#1 WAKE UP AND GO TO BED AT THE SAME TIME EACH DAY
If you want to create a more productive morning routine, it starts with what you do the night before. This means going to bed at a consistent time each night and waking up around the same time each day.
When you keep a consistent bedtime, you train your body to fall asleep and wake up around the same time. This can help you achieve more restful sleep and leave you feeling energized and ready to start your day when you wake up the following morning.
When your body becomes used to waking up at the same time, you’ll be less likely to hit snooze on your alarm, roll over, and fall asleep for another 15 minutes. Once that alarm sounds in the morning, it’ll be much easier to hop out of bed. Who knows, you might not even need an alarm once your body becomes used to your new routine.
#2 WAKE UP 15 MINUTES EARLIER
This is an easy habit for a more productive morning routine. Set your alarm at least 15 minutes earlier than you usually get up. Giving yourself an extra 15 minutes to get up and get ready can help your morning go more smoothly.
It’ll keep you from frantically running around and rushing to get out the door. Take your time and give yourself a few extra minutes to relax during your morning routine. This will set the tone for your day. It’ll increase your productivity in the morning by decreasing your stress and providing more time to prepare for your day ahead.
#3 TAKE A SHOWER THE NIGHT BEFORE

Establishing a more productive morning routine starts the night before. Instead of taking a shower in the morning, take one the night before.
Showers often take longer than we plan for and can lead to us rushing around in the morning. Showering in the evening will free up an extra 20 minutes in your morning routine for you to organize your day. Use that time in the morning to catch up on emails, meditate, or organize your schedule instead.
#4 MEAL PREP
Meal prepping your lunch or breakfast can save a ton of time in the morning and will help you create a more productive morning routine. Try overnight oats or portioning out fruit for a yummy yogurt bowl the night before.
You can also meal prep your lunch if you normally bring it to school or work. Pack your lunch in the evening. That way you can easily grab it and go in the morning instead of wasting time deciding on what to eat or spending extra time putting together an elaborate meal. You’ll save a ton of time that you can use to catch up on assignments, plan your day, or simply relax.
#5 PICK AN OUTFIT THE NIGHT BEFORE

This goes hand in hand with meal prep and showering the night before. For a more productive morning routine, pick your clothes out before heading to bed. That way, you won’t waste time in the morning deciding on what to wear, trying on outfits, or curating the perfect ensemble.
Decide what you want to wear and lay it out. Do any ironing the night before too. In the morning, your outfit will be ready and you won’t have to waste any energy figuring out the right clothes to wear. Instead, relax and ease into your day. It’ll start your day on a positive note instead of a stressful one.
#6 PACK YOUR BAG IN THE EVENING

Do the easy things the night before. This includes packing your bag too. Put everything you need for your day into your bag in the evening.
Pack your computer, notebooks, chargers, your gym clothes, or whatever you might need for the next day. Check your schedule and make sure you have everything packed that you will need. That way, you won’t forget anything, and in the morning you can easily grab your bag and head out the door.
It’ll save you time and energy, leading to a more productive start to your day and an overall more productive morning routine.
#7 GIVE YOURSELF 5 EXTRA MINUTES TO COMMUTE
This is an easy tip that can start your day on a positive note. When you rush around or risk arriving late to work, it can quickly increase your stress. Stressing in the morning will set a negative tone for the rest of your day and can decrease your productivity as your day progresses.
To minimize any stress in your morning and throughout the day, give yourself five extra minutes to commute to work or school. This will give you time to stop and get gas or a coffee if you want. You can relax on your drive and even listen to an educational podcast or enjoy some music before arriving at your destination.
